ABBEY HEBERT
Dancer and Choreographer
Hello! My name is Abbey Hebert, and my entire life has been encompassed with all things dance. My goal is to share my passion for dance, choreography, and teaching with as many people as I can.
My "Why" for pursuing dance as a career is to understand the "Why" of my students. My passion comes from my background growing up in the studio, literally. My Mom, Jennifer Perry Luquette opened Dance Connection Studio in Abbeville, Louisiana when I was one year old. I was raised by teachers and dancers who were not only instructors to me, but mentors as well. I would love to share that experience and create a positive environment for young dancers in the industry. I have 20 years of dance experience which is highlighted by 6 years teaching at Dance Connection Studio.
Throughout my life my passion for choreography and teaching has only continued to grow. I began competitive dance at a young age which gave me wonderful opportunities and relationships that I am so grateful for. I toured with The Streetz Dance Convention as an assistant and moved up to their Pre-Professional Program. Additionally, I worked on Universal Dance Association (UDA) Staff traveling throughout Louisiana for 3 years. I currently hold a role at Teurlings Catholic High School as Dance Team Coach. I also teach at Dance Connection and work with the competition team.
I aim to create, inspire, and encourage those around me. My drive is not purely focused on choreography and technique, but to also build deeper relationships with my students. If you want to learn more, I'd love to connect. I look forward to working with you soon!
